1997 - Beginning of the native forest conservation project

Futangue set up its native forest conservation project in 1997. From the construction of the first trails in the Park, the network gradually grew, running through the deepest part of the Valdivian rainforest to the highest peaks above the Lake Ranco basin, in the XIV Region known as Los Rios, Chile.

The unique experience of reaching impenetrable places and of being able to appreciate nature in its purest form motivated a passion for exploring this area of Andean Patagonia, without its creators realizing at the time just how many marvels were out there to discover.

Three years after opening the Park to the public, the Hotel opened its doors for the first time, to travellers from all over Chile and the rest of the world. The Hotel stands out, not only for its unique position, enveloped in the majestic natural surroundings of the Park, but also because this nature concept is continued and reflected in its architecture, the Spa and the basic ingredients of its delicious gastronomy.
