Futangue is a private nature reserve in the Chilean Northern Patagonia among the foothills of the Andes Mountains in the Los Ríos Region. The park is on the shores of one of Chile´s largest and most beautiful lakes – Lake Ranco, and is near to Puyehue National Park, with it´s stunning volcanic scenery. The area is also known for having some of the best-preserved examples of the Valdivian rainforest, one of the most important biodiversity hotspots on the planet.

A flight from Santiago to Osorno airport is only an hour and a half, and the drive to the nature reserve takes the same time. It’s a lovely journey from any of the airports close to the park entrance on excellent asphalt roads. It’s also possible to take a flight to the airports in Puerto Montt, Valdivia or Temuco and then a transfer to the park.
