Guided Excursions
At Futangue Hotel & Spa, guests can enjoy a wide variety of activities for all tastes and interests, including outdoor sports, nature excursions, and cultural tours.
Guided excursions are included exclusively in the All-Inclusive program, except for the kayak excursion on the Calcurrupe River and certain fly-fishing excursions, which have an additional cost (the All-Inclusive program includes the half-day fishing excursion at Pichi Lake).
Guests may also book guided excursions during their stay or, if they prefer, explore the park independently. Most excursions take place within the park and are operated by Futangue Hotel & Spa. In addition, we offer a selection of alternatives in the Lake Ranco area, including some activities operated by third parties and visits to small local community businesses. These activities outside the park are subject to availability and seasonality.
Guided excursions are shared with other guests in small groups. There is also the option to book private excursions, subject to availability and with an additional daily charge. Private outings must be arranged before arrival.
Every day, between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, our excursions team welcomes guests in the hotel lounge for a personalized planning session. These meetings have two main purposes:
To provide information about the park and recommendations for guests who prefer to explore the park independently.
To present the guided excursions scheduled for the following day, which may have an additional cost depending on the program booked.
Excursions may be cancelled free of charge until 9:00 PM on the day before departure. After that time, the cancellation fee is 100% of the excursion value.
The daily guided excursion program includes one full-day excursion with box lunch (lasting between 5 and 7 hours) and two half-day excursions (lasting between 2 and 4 hours each). After the first outing, guests return to the hotel for lunch and later depart again in the afternoon.
Our guides can recommend activities according to the program booked and the current weather conditions. If you are interested in a specific activity, please do not hesitate to let us know so that we can plan your visit in the best possible way and ensure unforgettable memories of your experience in Chilean Patagonia.
Guided excursions are organized into three categories to help guests identify the experience that best suits their interests and physical abilities:
• Soft Adventure
• Active Experience
• Fly Fishing
Self-guided Trails
Your stay at the hotel includes the park entrance ticket, which allows you to walk the different trails on your own, either on foot or by bike, without having to hire excursions. Guests can bring their own bicycles and helmets or rent them at the hotel.
It is possible to explore independently the same trails described for the guided trekking and biking excursions on this website, except for the Darwin Trail.
To access the trails in the Pitreño sector and the Cerro Polloihue Trail from the hotel, a 4×4 vehicle is required.
To visit Pichi Lake or Piedras Quemadas (Lava Fields), guests may drive from the hotel to the trailhead (a 4×4 vehicle is not mandatory, although it is recommended), or travel by bicycle from the hotel. A 2WD vehicle can be used to go from the hotel to Pichi Lake, as far as the starting point of the trail (which is 2.5 km from the lake) or to a parking lot at the lake itself.
Please note that we cannot guarantee your safety if you choose to explore the park independently.
Before undertaking any self-guided activity, it is essential to:
• Register your departure at the Park Reception.
• Check opening and closing hours.
• Be aware of the difficulty level of the trails.
• Verify weather conditions and prepare appropriate clothing.
• Receive safety recommendations from the excursions team.
