In the Huilliche language, Futangue means “large canyon,” and it is the name given by the native peoples to the beautiful valley. Through the river of the same name runs. Today, it is the dream location to explore the wild beauty of the Patagonian Andes.
Futangue Park marks the start of that corner of the world so full of mysticism and magic, known as Patagonia. Amid lakes, volcanos and the majestic Valdivian Forest, one of the most important centers of biodiversity in the world.
Parque Futangue was conceived from the beginning as a project for the conservation of flora and fauna. Now comprised of 13,500 hectares of native forests at the foot of the Andes Mountain Range in the River Region of Chile.
The Futangue Park is on the shores of Ranco Lake, one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in the country, and it adjoins the Puyehue National Park, one of the places with the most active volcanos in the world.
