Andean Mountains trail
The Andean Mountains captivate with their majesty, snow-covered peaks, and endless landscapes. Their valleys, crystal-clear lakes, and rich biodiversity create unique scenery that inspires admiration. They are also home to ancient cultures and living traditions, making them a symbol of natural beauty, history, and a profound connection between humanity and nature.
Altas Cumbres Trail
This is the highest lookout in the park, at an altitude of 1,390 meters. The trail begins at Pitreño Lagoon where you take the road to Altas Cumbres (High Peaks). You pass through forests of lenga beech, Dombey’s beech and Chilean podocarp (mañio in Spanish).
You will reach the summit after climbing stairs for 15 minutes in the final stretch, where there are 360º views of the Futangue River Valley and Ranco Lake. The effort is considerable, but the reward is extraordinary. A good alternative is to return via the Ski Trail to vary the landscapes you can see.
